Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV)

Our primary platform for subsea operations is the Teledyne Webb Research Slocum Glider, a buoyancy propelled vehicle capable of long term monitoring (several months).

Blue Ocean are also involved in the testing and validation of powered underwater vehicles, specifically micro/mini AUV technology, which have the potential to provide significant economic and practical advantages for a range of applications including rapid assessment of environmental incidents and subsea infrastructure inspection (IRM) operations.

Autonomous Surface Vehicles (ASV)

We have experience in the use of both the powered Teledyne Oceanscience Z-boat for short-duration, nearshore operations, and the wave-driven Liquid Robotics WaveGlider for longer-term oceanic monitoring campaigns.
